Community guidelines
The rules every report is measured against. They are short on purpose: a rule nobody can remember is a rule nobody follows, and one we can bend later is not a rule at all.
The three that end an account
No warning, no second look, no appeal that starts from anywhere but the beginning.
Anyone under 18
On a profile, in a photograph, or described in one. We report what the law requires us to report.
Anyone who has not chosen to be here
Photographs of somebody who did not agree to them being published. Profiles created for another person. Anything suggesting somebody is being made to do this.
Photographs that are not yours
Taken from another site, another profile, or a search engine. We can tell, and we check when somebody says so.
Keep it here
No phone numbers, links or messaging handles in profiles or messages. This is not us being difficult about traffic: a conversation that moves to another app takes the blocking, the reporting and the record with it, and if something goes wrong afterwards there is nothing left to look at.
You can of course give somebody your number once you have decided to. The rule is about the first message, not the tenth.
Be who you say you are
- Your photographs should be of you, and recent enough to recognise.
- Your city should be the city you are in. If you travel, add the dates rather than leaving an old one up.
- Prices should be the prices. Somebody arriving to a different number is the single most common thing people report.
- One account per person. One page per venue.
How people are treated
- No means no, the first time, from anybody, for any reason or none.
- No threats, no pressure, and no returning after a block.
- No publishing anything about anybody without their agreement — a name, a workplace, a photograph, a screenshot of a conversation.
- Disagreements about money are between the two of you. Using this platform to punish somebody for one is not.
Venues
- You can never create a profile for a person, and you never will be able to. They ask to be linked to you; you approve it.
- Do not list somebody who has not agreed to it, and remove them the moment they ask.
- Opening hours, prices and facilities should be true today, not true last year.
What happens when a rule is broken
Most things get one conversation first, because most things are a mistake. Repeated or deliberate breaking hides the profile; the three at the top of this page end the account.
Hiding a profile does not delete anything. If we get it wrong, write to us and we will look again — with the person who made the decision not being the person who reviews it.
