Safety
Safety
What this platform does for you, what it cannot do, and the things worth doing yourself. Split in two, because the risks are not the same on both sides.
If somebody is in danger right now
Call the emergency services where you are. We are not an emergency service, we are not staffed around the clock, and a report to us is not a call to anybody who can come.
If you are the one being booked
- 01 Screen before you agree, not after Keep the conversation here until you have decided. Somebody who will not answer an ordinary question, or who pushes to move to another app in the first message, has told you something.
- 02 Tell one person where you are going A name, an address and a time, to somebody who will notice if they do not hear from you. This is the single thing that changes outcomes most, and it costs one message.
- 03 Keep it in writing What was agreed, when and for how much. If something goes wrong afterwards, a conversation that stayed on Erobino is a record. One that moved to a disappearing-message app is not.
- 04 Your photographs carry more than you think We strip the location data from every picture before it is stored, so a photo taken at home does not publish your address. Anything you send outside Erobino has no such protection.
- 05 Block early You do not owe anybody a conversation, an explanation or a reply. Blocking stops it in both directions and does not tell them.
If you are the one booking
- A badge is not a character reference Verified means we checked something specific. Its absence does not make somebody a fake, and its presence says nothing about behaviour.
- The price on the profile is the price Somebody quoting a different number once you arrive is the most reported thing on this platform. Walk away.
- Never send money before meeting There is no arrangement that requires it. Every scam does.
- An agreement is about a meeting It is not consent to anything else, and it can be withdrawn at any point by either person.
What we do
- Strip location data from photographs before storing them.
- Refuse phone numbers and links in profiles and messages, so a conversation cannot be moved somewhere with no record.
- Read every report, urgent ones first, and write down what was decided.
- Verify identity for anybody who asks, free, and refuse to sell the badge.
What we cannot do
We do not vet the people you meet, we are not present at anything arranged here, and we cannot tell whether somebody is safe to be alone with. Verification confirms an identity. It says nothing about a person's behaviour.
